Remedies for Wrinkles
Wrinkles plague nearly every woman over 40. They sag and crease the skin mostly around one’s eyes, lips, and neck. People who have stretchy skin at a younger age are more likely to get worse wrinkles at a younger age. Wrinkles, like stretchy skin, are caused by a lack of collagen and elastin. Although as time goes on, you will undoubtedly get wrinkles, there are ways to delay getting wrinkles. Collagen – Many expensive creams and treatments claim they use collagen, which they probably do, but it will cost you an arm and a leg to buy the treatment. Instead, why not add a few foods to your diet which are high in collagen? Vitamin C manufactures collagen, so brussel sprouts, oranges, lemons, and spinach (full of vitamin C) will help stop wrinkles. Garlic, soy foods, and fish are high in collagen. Tomatoes have lycopene, which kills enzymes that would otherwise demolish collagen. Buttermilk – Buttermilk is full of the same active ingredient used in expensive lotions (AHA – alpha-hydroxy acid) Oils – Oils of any kind, but specifically olive oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and especially almond oil and castor oil can be used as a mask or a moisturizer. Pineapple– Pineapple contains bromeliad which rids of dead skin cells and dirt. A mask to be simply made from pineapple and oil is this: Combine a cup of pineapple chunks with 3 or 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix this together with a fork, crushing the pineapple chunks as you go. Apply this like a facial mask and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse well. Changing your diet and spending more time on your skincare can immediately and immensely help you to rid of wrinkles and have healthy glowing skin.
