Avodart Mechanism of Action
It hampers the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. This is a form of androgen that is responsible for the development and enlargement of the prostate gland. By inhibiting this conversion, enlarged prostate can be reversed.
How to take Avodart

Note that you cannot donate blood while on dutasteride and 6 months after discontinuing this medication. This type of drug can stay in your system for a while. This can also prevent having your blood transfused to pregnant women.
