Continually watch out for signs of a severe allergic reaction, including hives, skin rashes, severe dizziness, swelling of the face, and breathing trouble. If this occurs, discontinue this drug right away and alert your medical emergency line.

You should also observe extreme caution when driving, operating machinery, or doing any tasks that require alertness.

There are still no available definitive clinical trials to tell if Myrbetriq could cause harm to unborn babies and breastfed infants. Therefore, pregnant and nursing moms must use this oral drug only if evidently necessary.

Mechanism of Action

This prescription drug is an agonist of beta-3 adrenergic receptors. It does its action by relaxing the detrusor smooth muscle while in the storage phase of the bladder cycle of filling and emptying by activating beta-3 adrenergic receptors. This increases bladder capacity.

How to Use Myrbetriq

Before starting to take this medication, it is necessary to read the information leaflet or medication guide given by a healthcare professional. You must not take any medication unless you have understood all the information regarding it. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for further medical advice or additional details.

This tablet is only meant to be taken by mouth. For adults, this medication may be administered with or without a meal. However, for children, it should be administered with a meal. Swallow the tablet whole and drink some water thereafter. Crushing, chewing, or cutting this tablet is not recommended because it may cause the drug to be released at once, resulting in an increase in adverse effects.

Avoid increasing or decreasing your doses as it is based on your age, weight, overall health condition, and response to therapy.
