Promacta Mechanism of Action

It interacts with the transmembrane domain of the human TPO-receptor, which initiates the signaling cascades in order to induce the proliferation and differentiation of megakaryocytes coming from the bone marrow progenitor cells. This, then, leads to an elevation in the number of platelets and the prevention of the risk of bleeding.
